All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Mogilny Wins Lady Byng Trophy as Most Sportsmanlike Player
Is it true that most hockey players don't want to win this award? Ticat said it's like a sissy award and hockey players don't want to be known as sissies.
If they have a Most Sportsmanlike Player award, do they have a Dirtiest Player award too?
There's not a stone in my heart I've left unturned
Not a piece of my soul that I ain't searched
The only answer I found for all this hurt
Is there ain't not answer here on earth
Political correctness ( or cancel culture as it is called today) is a doctrine fostered by a delusional ,illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by MSM which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Harry S Truman 1941.
Nothing agaist lady bing but the name needs to be change and why not sir john.

Who is Lady Byng? And why would they name a men's sport award after her?
I can kind of understand why no hockey player would want that award. If you're supposed to be tough and strong, the last thing you want to win is some award named after a girl. lol

Thanks, Ticat, but that still doesn't tell me who Lady Byng is or why the trophy is named after her. There are a lot of repeat names on that list. I guess there's not too many nice hockey players out there. And, if Wayne Gretzy is such a god among hockey players, Mogilny should be happy he won an award that the Great One has won in the past.

The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy is an annual award given to the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability. The winner is selected in a poll of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association at the end of the regular season.
Lady Byng, wife of Canada's Governor-General at the time, presented the Lady Byng trophy in 1925. After Frank Boucher of the New York Rangers won the award seven times in eight seasons, he was given the trophy to keep and Lady Byng donated another trophy in 1936.
After Lady Byng's death in 1949, the National Hockey League presented a new trophy, changing the name to Lady Byng Memorial Trophy
Oh, okay, thanks, BironsGirl. :) I figured she was someone's wife. By your description, it sounds like in the beginning, this trophy was kinda like the Cup. You win it, get to keep it for a year and then have to give it back. It's nice to see they've changed that and you get to keep the trophy now. :)
Obviously Mogilny doesn't deserve it. Not showing up to collect it isn't very sportsman like.
