I thought this was interesting. And yes, I do know that I'm comparing purely preseason numbers, so as of yet, this can't be inferred as having an impact on the regular season. Now that that disclaimer is out of the way...
Buffalo has scored a total of 69 points in the last two preseason games under Gailey, and 86 points through 3 games. Compare that to the total number of points scored by Buffalo in entire preseasons under Dick Jauron:
2006: 81 (through 4 games)
2007: 56 (through 4 games)
2008: 64 (through 4 games)
2009: 72 (through 5 games)
So in two preseason games, our team has outscored what Jauron's teams managed in two entire preseasons, and is a field goal away from tying what Jauron's teams did in 5 preseason games last year.
Like I said, it is preseason. However, considering the offensive ineptness of the past 4 years in the regular season as well as the preseason, there may be a correlation. We'll just have to see if Gailey's offense does this well in the regular season.
