Weary Agrees To Terms; Johnson Signs

Free agent cornerback Fred Weary has agreed to terms with the 49ers and is expected to sign the official contract with the team early next week.

Weary entered the league as a fourth round (#97 overall) selection of the New Orleans Saints in 1998 after his record setting career at Florida that saw him leave as the Gators career-leader in interceptions with 15.

During his four years with the Saints Weary played in 15 games, making 25 starts and recording six interceptions. In 2002 he joined the Atlanta Falcons and spent the season as the teams nickel corner. His best individual season was 1999 when he recorded 57 tackles, two interceptions and 12 passes defensed.
