No way we select top 5. At worst we will pick 8-10

Spiller can't play defense too. We have a shot at a top 5 pick because our defense looks much worse than last year.

Didn't Poz not play? And also didn't Kyle not play? You have to give them time to adjust to the 3-4. They have still outplayed the colts and bengals starting defenses as bd as we were, they were worse

Because it's irrelevant.

Which unproven rookies might be available in next year's draft should never have any bearing on a season that hasn't even started yet.

I'll take Ponder

Or QB.

Trent has a lot to prove. Preseason is nice and all but show us when it matters.

That's fine. I'd take Ponder, Mallett or Devlin. On of which, or more than one might even be available in the second round. So maybe we can get a left tackle or stud linebacker first.

In Nix I trust. The Spiller pick was smart.

NOT THE DUDE...

marcel dareus, cameron heyward, von miller, someone who can get to the passer. we need a legit pass rusher, if maybin gets 10 sacks this year then i would say we should take another dlineman...

I don't think we can claim both of these guys will go before we pick. Hell, I'm not sure where they will even go at all yet.

Right now Id say all those guys will be there in Rd 2 and one or maybe two of them in Rd 3.

Locker will be around outside the top 5 as well, imo.

That's all if the draft was tomorrow which its not.

They could always trade up-- but then they'd have to wake up.

Locker and Mallett are top 10 talents imo. I'd be happy with either of the two

And we pick a top OL or Front 7 on D.

would Luck actually come out as a sophmore ???? Seems way to early for a QB to declare IMO

I say we go BPA even if it's a running back

just kidding

RS-SO

Its his third year academically and in Harbaugh's system. He said he wants to finish his degree before he leaves school so that could be this year, could be next.

Rumor is he on track to graduate this summer though, but I cant verify that with anybody since school records are pretty much locked down.

We haven't had any luck in 10 years, why should next year be any different?

Recent preseason notwithstanding, I still think QB is going to be our biggest issue for next off-season.

If we're not bad enough to get one of the top tier guys, then get the best one available in FA or pick a 2nd tier guy and mold him properly. One way or the other though, I think there's about a 90% chance that we'll be looking for Trent's replacement come March.

this is what they could be trying to do with both Brohm and Brown.

I think the Bills will pick high enough that they can trade up if need be to get the guy they REALLY WANT. Most of the teams that will be drafting high already drafted their QB.

Brown is more like 4th tier.

I really don't know what to think of Brohm. He hasn't looked good, but he hasn't had much of an opportunity so it's really tough to say. He may just need more experience, or there may be a damn good reason why he couldn't crack GB's roster.
