Defensive end Courtney Brown will be limited to individ ual drills at the start of training camp, coach Butch Davis said yesterday.
The Browns were hoping he might be ready to go when camp begins on July 24, but he will take it slowly.
"We'll start off and just give him the opportunity to get back into maybe a little bit of limited contact and maybe some one-on- one situations and individual stuff, and then we'll gauge it," Davis said. "He may do that for two days and then we may say he can do a little bit more."
Davis said it's conceivable that Brown, who underwent micro fracture surgery in December, will go a whole week before get ting into a team drill. Then again, he might light it up the first two days and be ready to go right away, Davis said. ...
