All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

RT @MikeReiss: Big blow for the Patriots, as starting right CB Leigh Bodden placed on season-ending injured reserve ... Whoa! Bombshell. 3 minutes ago via ÜberTwitter
Was McCourty already penciled in as a starter, or is he replacing Bodden?
Bodden had been recovering from a minor knee injury during camp and McCourty has been starting with Darius Butler. Bodden returned last game, although he didn't start (he likely was going to start, though). During that game he tore his rotator cuff and needed surgery, which is the reason he is on IR.
McCourty and Butler will start now. They are the youngest tandem of starting CB in the NFL, with McCourty being a rookie and Butler being in his 2nd year. Pats are Pretty young at S with Brandon Meriweather (4th year) and Pat Chung (2nd year) starting. Those are all very athletic players who were drafted high, but that lack of experience is a big concern. In fact, the Pats are now very young on defense overall, a big difference from past years.
This combined with very little pass rush makes me believe the Pats' pass D will be susceptible this year. Bodden was a good player for them, and while they've drafted a host of young corners early in the draft, none of them seemed to be stepping up until Butler this year.
McCourty will take his lumps, and they've got to hope he gets better than he's shown so far. First years are always tough for CB's.
