Reche Caldwell loves to run away from defenders. But the fleet wide receiver has no interest in trying to escape the truth about his rookie season with the Chargers.
"Last year I wasn't working as hard as I could," he said yesterday after the team opened a three-day minicamp at Chargers Park. "I wasn't studying my playbook, and a lot of times I would just go out there and make a lot of mental errors.
"I don't think I was really as mentally and physically prepared as I could have been. I wasn't lifting weights like I should have been, and on running plays I wasn't really hustling all the time.
