There is no quality vet out there that is going to come in and be able to play on this team in a pinch should it be needed. We tried that last yr as our Oline dropped like flies, and look what a wonderful year we had. You need people who know the calls, who know the scheme, who understand what Gailey wants them to do and who know who they are playing next to.

Please, man. No one is saying we should replace Howard with Pucillo. I'm saying I don't want Howard potentially opposite Vince Wilfork, do you? I like the kid, I want him to develop. But, I dont want him to be forced into starting this year at all.

Guys like Adams, Faneca, Tra Thomas, thats the sort of player I'm talking about long in the tooth, but certainly solid enough to start in a pinch.

I like the way he plays. He mad mistakes we know that. But so did every other corner. He had a very nice pass breakup in the endzone and he shows a good ability to stay with the receiver. He needs to get his head around quicker when the ball is in the air.

He may be gone, we probably wont keep 6 and Youboty and Corner did enough to earn jobs IMO.
