At 33, 6'3", 300-pound Raider, motorcycle fan and father of four, John Parrella enters his 11th season as an NFL player and is pumped and ready to go. In only his second season with the Oakland Raiders, Parrella affirms, "The Raiders are the finest team in the league." Confident that the Raiders will indeed return to the Super Bowl for the second year in a row, he does acknowledge "that the team has a long road ahead of [us] this season," but he welcomes the challenge.
After the Super Bowl, Parrella returned home to enjoy time with his family. With four sons, Parrella's hands remained full. Attending school activities, sports competitions and family events, Parrella still managed to maintain a diligent workout schedule and training program that would prepare him for the upcoming season. With the Raiders mini-camp coming to a close and Napa's training camp on the way, Parrella feels prepared and ready to attack this season with full force. And even after all the strength and conditioning and family obligations, Parrella still finds time to ride his motorcycle. ...
