The back — this is where it gets interesting. See the strange stitching pattern on the years in that above graphic?

Apparently, that's how the numbers will be styled on this new sweater — vintage white with blue stitching inside the numerals. A bit odd perhaps, but it's one of those cool little details you'll only notice up close.

What about the nameplate? Blue block letters on gold material — on a blue sweater. Think of it as similar to what the Flyers have done with their home and road jerseys with the untraditional nameplates.

especially for the time. mid 90's everyone was going to black jersey to be like the kings. i was in highschool when they announced the change, and we were like, "awesome!" we were finally going to wear our home team's jersey's and look bad ass. but then by like 2002-2005, they looked really dated.

the slug was a pure money play. they had a good team, they could have made a pink and orange jersey with the patriots logo, and i'm pretty sure most of buffalo would have gotten one and wore it with pride during the president cup run.

now, they can "correct" the mistake and make another couple million dollars off us.

And this is why god created ecseller.com. We justhave to wait for them to get the jerseys.

I'm not sure, I heard there was a certain amount of seasons to wear a uniform set before it could be changed. I've heard it was maybe 3 or 4 years?

Back in '95 the Islanders debuted a new set with the "Fisherman" logo which only lasted a year. They kept the same uniform set design, but ditched it as the logo on the front after a season.
