Kawika Mitchell hurts foot at practice; may be out Sunday

Not a good way to begin our Thursday afternoon. He hurt it at practice yesterday.

I'm not worried about it because we have Buffalo Bills depth. That means the 2nd stringer is just as good as the starter because our starter would be 2nd string on most NFL teams.

Mitchell is no big loss.

He's a backup who almost certainly won't be on this team in 2011. I'm not terribly upset.

Honestly, right now the injuries aren't as big a deal as they seem to have been the past 4 years or so.

It is a big deal because if it's anything like the past few years then we'll be pickin scrubbs off the street again to come start for us. I do agree he's not that good but come on with the injury bs

If he can't play the back-up ILBs are Moats and Ellison.
I am not a big Mitchell fan, but he is a better option than those two.

i was hoping to not see ellison on the defensive side of the ball all season. I just want him as a ST stud.

I dislike mitchell. he's a poor man's whitner. all talk, very little gusto. another russ brandon success story.

I'm not a big fan of Mitchell, either, but he did start on the Giants' Super Bowl team.

He is not as terrible, as a backup, as some think.

he's also 3 years removed from that superbowl and he wasn't a spring chicken on that team. he's had a major injury with the bills. its kind of that time where he should be winding down, and we are relying on him to be a difference maker.

that's not a good place to be with your LB corp.

mitchell was on the outside.. davis and pos are the two middle LBs..

so this means that kelsay and/or maybin see more time..
