    Bill Cowher declined overtures from the Buffalo Bills to rebuild their organization.He thinks the man they eventually hired will do just fine.Cowher likes Buffalo's chances to be competitive in 2010 under new head coach Chan Gailey, who served as Cowher's offensive coordinator with the Pittsburgh Steelers.



    This makes me feel so much more confident in Gailey. It just shows without a doubt that Cowher mor than likely directed the Bills to this guy. Obviously most critics and analysts are choosing to hate on this. The fact that a guy like Cowher is calling us a possible sleeper makes me feel quite a bit better about the hope I've been feeling!

    Yeah I feel so much better. He wouldn't come here, but at least he's throwing us a bone verbally. Awesome.

        Cowher and Simms are clearly the dumbest people in the world. Don't they know that the Bills are going to be the worst team in the league this year?

          Seriously?? You think that he gives a crap about "throwing us a bone." I highly doubt it man.

          And did you ever think that maybe the reason he didn't want to come here was because his wife was dying, so maybe, juuuuust maybe he sent us what he thought was the next best thing?

                I really feel if not for his wifes health he would have been our coach......everything he said makes sense and he seems to bepaying attention..there is no way we are a worse team than last year..these national guys saying 2-14 / 1-15 just arent paying attention

                      Dude, you don't need to be a *****. The guys wife was battling CANCER. Would you take a job that moved your family several hundred miles away if your freaking wife had cancer?? How do you know he didn't care about this job? For all you know he really wanted the Job. For all you know he thinks Gailey is just as good of a coach as he is. Prior to us hiring a coach everyone was saying Frazier was a lock for the Job. Well perhaps Cowher put his two cents in because he actually cared!

                          NO that was NOT his analysis. His analysis was that Cowhers wife was DYING & that was the reason he did not want the Bills job....................because he cared about her. He recommended a person he had a lot of respect for to be the Bills HC.

                            Cowher is obviously a big time Gailey booster, but if Gailey's staff can get Buffalo's young and relatively athletic personnel up to speed quickly, they could be better than most people expect.
                            I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
