    Raiders TE Roland Williams Rehabbing

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) -- Roland Williams finished last season on the injured reserve as a medical mess.

Two operations later, the Oakland tight end is convinced he'll be ready to compete again within two months. Raiders coach Bill Callahan has said Williams might not be back until the end of training camp in August, though Williams is optimistic it could be sooner.

"My time frame is ASAP," Williams said during the team's three-day minicamp. "I'm getting along pretty good. I'm right on schedule. I'll give it a couple months or so until I'll be back and ready to rock and roll and help us win again."

Raiders feeling better at tight end With Williams ailing, Santiago adds depth

The Raiders had a lot of bodies on their practice field for the minicamp that concluded Saturday.

Roland Williams was not among them.

The veteran tight end, who missed the Super Bowl because of injuries and had surgery on his knee and his toe in February, was around the Alameda facility but still is unable to participate.

"I can't run," he said. "My body is coming around, and I'm getting better, but I'm still not there."
