Re: Get Ready for an 0-4 Start

I guess somebody had to say it.

I'll add the obligatory, "I hope they don't ruin it and win 5," and the always brilliant "I think they kept TE because they knew we would suck out and get a franchise QB in the draft."

I am sure that the other guys on the field, playing with the knowledge that in one second your career is over, don't mind a bit. They are probably saying to each other right now; "I have put my heart and soul, not mention 18 hours/day, into this game my whole life, and I am so excited to lose out and give some 22 year old kid, with a 25% chance of making it 5 years in this league, more guaranteed bonus money than I will make for my career...if somebody doesn't fall on my leg and end my career." No doubt.

**I am not saying you said that. I know what your saying. I am just less excited about us hoping to nail a franchise QB pick in the draft, and waiting another 4 years for him to develop, than I am about watching this team play again next week. FML

I'm not worried or ready to start any of that **** just yet, we play hard and we played good on offense for a total of 2 minutes, its the first game of the season. We lost by 5 to a playoff team.

the offense seems to be just as putrid as last year.

Sad thing is we knew that this is what was needed last year and it did not get done.

Maybe we can draft a RB with picks 1 AND 2 next year.

Think of it, 5 good RBs on the team. We'd be great.

But hey, we got a guy who MIGHT be good if he had blocking.

Unfortunately this is the reality. We are not going to beat any good QBs so that rules out NE and GB. And any elite defense will have a field day with TE so 0-4 is on the horizon.

I figure I'll be done watching football by the end of Sept this year. I won't be spending my Sundays watching another year of serioulsy piss poor Offensive play.

The fact that Edwards played so poorly after a decent preseason has me convinced the kid cannot handle the pressure

Yeah he does great against defenses that don't play defense and in 7-7.

Didn't Gailey say that Edwards 'WON" the job in OTAs. Who wins a job in OTAs???
