To be fair...Gailey and Carroll aren't much different...

Actually Gailey was more successful in his previous NFL coaching stint..

Carroll was absolutely garbage at his first NFL coaching attempt.

He's been bounced around more in the NFL and in college that a red light district hooker. What has he ever won?

What I find amusing is how some fans got so excited when this game sold out, but then by some reports the number of Fin fans there was huge.

And he did have time on occasion. They can't make him throw the ball or make Cornell Green a competent RT.

I am not saying the coaching was perfect, but it was far from the only (or biggest) issue.

Gailey coached the Cowboys at the tail end of Aikman, Smith and Irvins careers. They went to the playoffs both years.

Carroll went to 2 playoffs in 4 years between 2 other NFL coaching stints...Jets and Pats.

NCAA coaching ability means absolutely nothing when it comes to the NFL. Just ask Lou Holtz, Butch Davis and Steve Spurrier about that. All 3 were successful college coaches.
