Are you watching the pocket presence that Flacco has?

The Jets are getting consistent pressure and he is just calmly sitting back there and waiting for the WR to get open when he throws it.

He has made some bad plays and taken hits but is not rattled and is now throwing at Wilson.

Ya I love Flacco. He has picked on Cromartie too. TJ, Boldin, and Mason is a nice trio of wideouts too. Heap is a good TE. And a combo of Rice and Willis at RB. But ya, he's got moxie

And the Ravens line isn't doing that great of a job either.

And Cromartie picked him off too.

Still, he isn't getting rattled and the Jets are bringing the heat and getting pressure on almost every play.

And Cromartie picked him off too.

Sure. He has that pickoff. But he got beaten 3-4 times and got hit with a couple big penalties. Cromartie always gets INTs but always misses tackles n gets burned.

Again another penalty on Cromartie

Sanchez is a much more expensive and incompetent version of Trent Edwards... hope the jets like what they drafted... that kid is a mess.

If it's possible, the Jets offense almost looks worse than ours. They've got more penalty yards than offensive yards. Sanchez has 43 yards on 6/11 passing...and got 13 of those yards on his most recent completion.

Announcers just said they haven't gotten a 3rd down all night. I'm assuming a lot of that is due to penalties.

BuffaloBlitz83

43 yards LOL. And the Ravens are supposedly very weak in the secondary and without Ed Reed

it isn't the ravens.... on 2nd down on this last drive... Cotchery was running free (when i say free i mean no one ****** covered him, and no one was over top, that had 20-30 yards or a TD written all over it). Sanchez didn't see him, throw to him, or even pump at him. but dumped it off to the fullback 2 seconds later (who was running to the flat, to the same side and underneath of Cotchery, and actually moderately covered).

that was about as horrific a read from a QB as i've seen since joey harrington; i mean you could tell when they lined up that he'd be open because not a single raven even pretended to cover him... he wasn't covered from the snap to the end of the play (by which i mean there wasn't a single raven within 10-20 yards of him, with the closest raven rushing the passer, that's what you call blown coverage.)

That's exactly what I'm talking about at 10:07, 3rd and 10... they rush him from the left and he patiently throws to Boldin for a 1st on a roll out.

QB's with poise and that are good decision makers play like this. Edwards is not a good decision maker, and has little poise.

I don't think Sanchez will reach 75 yds lol

I thought this last year... but the "Sanchize" really is a worse starting QB then Trent Edwards

No worries, theres a few in the draft that might have the same poise and decision making.

no.. the redskins look pretty mediocre... i wouldn't put it past the giants or packers making it to the superbowl though; and in the afc, it looks like the Ravens, Texans, Patriots, maybe the Steelers are the class of the conference (maybe the chargers too but i doubt it)

Honestly, no bias or anything, but watching him play tonight: Trent Edwards without the OL. I couldn't tell the difference between the two.

All of these little digs on Sanchez don't change the fact that our team sucks, our QB is inept, and the Jets will win more games then us this year. Enjoy the Jets losing (I sure did) but don't try to act like it some how excuses the pile of crap we trot out there every Sunday for the last 10 years.

How freaking predictable this thread was, btw.

Dude! Most everyone here knows our team blows! Noone is acting like it excuses our pile of crap. This is not going to be a fun season. Let us have a little fun laughing at the Jets.

Sanchez looks the same as Trent to me. Both are trash. Only difference is the Jets D is nasty and they have a coach who actually knows what he's doing. I think if Edwards is still healthy by week 4 for the Jets, then he won't be after the game. Last year, that's the game Fitz came in, it'll happen again with this line and their D. Flacco is lightyears ahead of both QBs, it's so clear.

i was at the game last night. Trent needed to make gutsy throws and chose to check down. Sanchez had guys wide open. i mean like 2 hand touch game open. there was one play where braylon edwards was in the slot and no one was on him pre snap. after the snap, no one covered him, he ran about 15 yards for and turned. no one around him for 5 yards. sanchez, looking in that direction, checked down for a 4 yard pass. The entire stadium say how open edwards was.

What i'd liked ot have seen out of Trent Edwards is what Flacco was doing. Release the ball and have your receivers make plays. The Ravens wide outs weren't open when he threw, but they got seperation to make a play.

Flacco also got plastered on the first play of the game, and came back and played really well. i have no idea how he doesn't have a concussion.

He did. Tonight was the best game of Sanchez's career. He had a career game, 3 TDs 0 Turnovers, go figure. I'd be lying if I told you I saw it coming so soon.

I agree, he had a great game, but he did play well in the playoffs last year as well.

So Sanchez had a horrid 1st game, and he's akin to our excuse for a quarterback?? Please!

One big difference.... Sanchez's worst game is like an average or above-average game for Spent Deadwards. Another difference...unlike Edwards, Sanchez has good games. OTOH, Trent... has.... a grungy hair-cut and sideburns.
