All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I don't know why we're talking about benching Trent.
The other two assclowns won't be any better.
Well Trent is in the last year of his contract, do we need to see any more of him? Who cares if the other two are just as bad, at least they won't be as boring.
it's not like we've got some stud or some potential behind trent. Fitz is two, we know he's capable enough to lose games better than trent. Brohm isn't passing fitz on the depth chart. so i really don't care. I think winning a couple games with fitz is long term counter productive. I relaly think its' absurd that we've had to waste three years to hit rock bottom when we were a rock bottom team years ago.
embrace the bad and watch the good come next year.
If we had a young QB with potential that displaced the other clowns on the depth chart, i'd be all for getting the new guy in.

And while it's also true that both of our other QB's have equal or less talent than Trent...
The crux of the argument (which gets ignored by folks like OP) is that both of our backups actually have a pair of balls on gameday... They're gamers and Trent isn't... Simple as that!

I honestly don't care who starts. I just want to get this season over with so hopefully we can get a real QB and start winning next year.

Our most talented QB is Trent Edwards (and that pains me to say) to try you play your most talented players. There is absolutely no reason to bench Edwards at this point. We have nobody behind him worth a NFL roster spot.

again, what difference does it make? We win 6 games instead 3 and **** up our draft position? They get our hopes up by keeping the games close, only to disappoint us by collapsing at the end yet again? None of these guys are getting this team to the playoffs.
Actually, i will flip my stance. I'm pretty sure trent is bad. but i think he beat out worse QB's. Bring them in. They aren't going to do much else. I worry that fitz could win games in september and oct which throws my "hit rock bottom" approach into trouble. i think brohm would be even more boring and more losses.
I am making peace with boring football this year. I can not and will not make peace with 6-10 to 8-8 football yet again.

if Trent stinks it up vs. gb staying with Trent after that isn't giving up?
talent means squat when he doesn't even try to make use of that talent. Rob Johnson had more to offer than Flutie. So what? means nothing .
I rather lose attempting to throw the ball in the endzone than lose throwing the ball to nelson at the last play of the game.
