QB - Woe is us, if we only had a better QB. First Bledsoe and his greatness. Then Losman was Favre II. Then Edwards was going to be the bomb because Bill Walsh said so.

RB - Of course McGahee, once his knee healed up was going to blow the league apart and make waiting two years for a 1st round pick to hit the playing field in tact all worth the wait. Lynch was supposed to be a real playmaker, a special RB that put his character issues past him. Now Spiller, another big playmaker like Lynch with blinding speed like Parrish.

WR - Roscoe Parrish and his speed were going to revolutionize the offense. Then James Hardy and his size was expected to be giving defenders fits. Terrell Owens was really going to open things up.

TE - Kevin Everett, despite his injury, was supposed to be like Winslow because he was faster.

OL - Does this even need to be discussed? Here are the names - Mike Williams, Duke Preston, Hangartner, Dockery, Walker, Fowler, Mike Gandy, Chris Villareal

DE - Denney, Kelsay, Maybin

LB - Crowell, Spikes who was overpaid and overrated, Poz who can't defend passes and can't stay on the field, and Mitchell who has shown up for a couple of games after hearing about how he was going to bring the winning spirit from the Giants to Buffalo when all he's brought is questions as to whether acquiring him was even worthwhile.

CB - McKelvin can't do anything but return kicks. Otherwise the team has been pretty good here. At least they haven't emptied their bank account for crap like they did in all the other positions.

And here many of you are again, saying the same things about this year's crop of saviors. Our front office is like a group of novice fans selecting the fastest or biggest guy at the combine without much of a plan besides.

At what point do you start taking names at OBD?

It seems to me that all of your misery stems from there. Don't blame the players, they just do what the coaches tell them to do next to the other guys assembled by the front office standing on the field next to them.

If someone were to offer any of you umpteen million to play for the Bills you'd take it too. Fans would be just as upset at you.

I don't know about this one

Spikes was not at all overrated. The guy was absolutely dominant before his injury.

McKelvin has shown signs of being a shut down CB when he is on the field. He had a strong game against Marshall.

You're kidding right? Many (most) of us have been verbally eviscerating and then lighting ablaze the entrails of the shmos at OBD for years.

Kevin Everett was a 4th rounder.

McKelvin cant do anything but return kicks?? He looked very very good this past Sunday and doesnt even return kicks anymore.

Roscoe was a 2nd rounder and a good portion of us realized that he wasnt exactly going to be a star...he is still a dangerous weapon but is just too small to be a legit WR.

I get what you're saying (that our FO is to blame), but they arent picking the biggest or fastest guys either (with the exception of Hardy)...we've all been very aware that our FO is to blame for quite a long time, so I dont get the point of your post really.

Dude!!! You are totally onto something here....or not...

This dynamite analysis is amazing...call out every player, then blame the FO. This is refreshing.

The biggest problem the Bills have had is not having a legit QB. But looking around the NFL, it's not as easy as just going out and getting one.

mckelvin is a shut down corner???

he struggled in the first half and had a better second half. he still has a lot of work to put into the gig. he isn't a bust, but he's not exactly light years ahead of Florence.

The same problems for the last decade because ralph wilson still owns the team..this team WILL NOT see success with him as the owner..this has become blatantly clear.

Maybe not an out and out shut down corner, but the guy is a hell of a ball player. As for not being light years ahead of Florence, well Florence is a very good CB, so if he was light years ahead of him he'd automatically be the best in the league.

Our complaints haven't changed because the team hasn't changed.

Get me back to the playoffs with a team that can average at least 21 pts a game and maybe we'll change our "complaints"
