So this guy was our FA pickup to essentially fill in where Aaron Schobel would have? He's never had more than 45 tackles in a season and his most sacks was 3 in his rookie year. Is this the best we've got? A career backup and his presence is so needed on this team? What can we expect from this guy, not just this week, but for the whole season? And why Torbor when there were plenty of better pass rushers available via FAgency AND Draft?

Well he's bad enough to get cut by Miami, but good enough to start in Buffalo. Does that cover your question?.

He must be a no talent loser. He's on the Bills, isn't he?

I am going to go nuts...I am going to let him play a game before I start my conspiracy theory, and begin listing all of the other names we could have had.

He seems to have a similar career trajectory as Kawika Mitchell.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. Thanks.

He knows the defense from playing with our DC last season.

That's an optimistic outlook. Kudos!

But on the other hand, there's always retread finds like Bryan Scott I guess..

Torbor is probably just a 'solid' player, whose versatility has likely hampered him, in that he's probably never concentrated on being either an ILB, or an OLB, as he's been used as both, pretty much wherever he's played.
Because of the above, his stats are also likely to be somewhat misleading, although if he was particularly 'good' no doubt they would be better.
Fills a need, and probably will become solid depth, hopefully in the not too distant future.
