SF had cut him. He looked great in preseason. Kid's got a cannon!!!! Perfect arm to throw deep in buffalo weather. Grab him now, cut Trent

He avoids the pressure and rips it!

I don't think he could learn the playbook.

Haven't we fallin' into this situation before? Losman ring a bell? He had a SICK arm too. Didn't help us much...

Doesnt that mean he's worth $999,999.90?

Sorry, had to.

I think a QB needs a brain, though.

I think a QB needs a brain, though.

Absolutely. To me its more important than the athletic side, not by a little but by a lot.

I hope we get a guy that has both.

Its not that he lacks a brain, its that he has a learning disability. It will take Davis time to grasp our offensive system and he needs to be in an ultra stable situation where things don't change schematically very often.

Great skill, but he requires a special set of circumstances.

I worked with an old guy who could throw a football 70 yards WITH BOTH HANDS. Real tall feller.

I can throw a football 65 yards for fun. Does that make me an NFL caliber QB too?

I can think of lots of QB's with big arms- JP Losman and Kyle Boller come immediately to mind.

And the best of all, JaMarcus Russell.

Are you saying there's a chance we'll sign either of them??? That would be awesome!!!

Its no joke that Nate Davis would have a hard time learning an NFL playbook. He has a learning disability (Whitlock had an article regarding it awhile back) that has really hampered him.

Great guy all around though.

We have a scheme? What is that exactly?

In 2 weeks I haven't noticed an NFL level scheme.

I remembered getting ripped apart for calling JP a clone of Kyle Boller!

I didnt say we did. I just said he needs to go somewhere with a firm scheme in place.
