Wow...

The Bills like Kelsay’s all-around game and see him as a sturdy outside linebacker and sound in his assignments.

Sound in his assignments like when he fails to keep contain on multiple runs to the outside?

Kovalchuk deal 2.0. 14 years $24 millions. Makes sense.

Op's response to my text....

I just read that on bz and nearly threw my phone into the middle of a field. Worst-run organization in pro sports.

Love the subtitle of "Op's Head Explodes" LOL!

He was a severely average DE, and now with trying to fit into this scheme being on OLB, he is set up for failure.

Look on the bright side, when a new regime comes in, and be go back to the 4-3, right after we have 1 or 2 drafts geared towards the 3-4 of course, he can be back to his average self! Sweet!

Don't say that, he'll be a Bill until 2034. They would never get rid of him.

There is actually no reason in the world for giving Kelsay $24M. I do not get it whatsoever.

If this is true, it would be the last straw for me. Who do they think would give Kelsay that kind of money?

Mad Max

There's no reason to let him on the team plane, much less give him $24M (no doubt it would be backloaded..but who cares, since he'd still be on the team!!).

What ever happened to "the FO knows best, -maybe they see somehting we dont. We are just fans and they are pros" type of argument?

What happened to all of the faith in the new regime? What happened to calling logical posters negative, what happened to being a homer?

Finally, a good portion of this board is beginning to see the Bills FO for what they are = aweful

Please, say it ain't so.

Am I having a nightmare? I sure hope so.

Mr. Pink
09-26-2010, 06:59 PM
Let me guess, it's a 4 year 24 million dollar deal where Kelsay gets 12 million in year 4? A year he won't be here.

bills4ver
09-26-2010, 07:03 PM
if Chris Kelsay get 24 million for anything less than 10 years then this Front Office is a COMPLETE JOKE.

There is not one fan that thinks this guys should be starting none the less getting extended for ALOT of money?

What is wrong with this team?

bigbub2352
09-26-2010, 07:04 PM
WTF.....i counted 5 times were Kelsay was the main reason for gains today...missing tackles or getting blown up in Blocks

What a Joke this franchise is

If he's extended the current regime (Nix/Whaley) is no better than the last one at evaluating talent and we're ****ed for the foreseeable future.

I can't believe this is true. this has to be a hoax.

No one watching Kelsey out there right now would want sign him for the league min

X-Era

Im not totally against it. I assume they see him as a fairly solid rotational 3-4 OLB. I would much prefer to have this guy as a backup than to have some clown like Ellison play at all. Id like us to strengthen both our starting and backup positions.

for 24 mil?! you want to tie up that much money that Wilson is willing to spend for depth?

Again... this has to be a Hoax... Nix might not be Bill Polian, but i have problems believing he's this clueless

We're getting mixed signals.

On the one hand we have the rumor that they're shopping Trent, berry berry good.

Then this. Ugh, back to square one (if true).

I'm on the same page with you. Has to be a hoax. I'm really trying to keep the faith in Gailey/Nix. But if this really comes to fruition I would have trouble maintaining the same level of respect.

Wow, I did not hear this until now, only thought is that OBD knew they'd put on an entertaining show, some decent offense and push the patsies to the brink....they just had to think of something that would ruin the day FN garbage plain and simple...might as well give green a big extension too while their add it, and oh yeah perhaps trent to a long term 100 mil deal too, his contract is up too...

this has angered me to absolutely no end.

before they sign this ******ed contract, they should release kelsay. watch how little activity is generated with him being totally available.

Kelsay found out something about the team moving or some scandal inside the team. there are 24 million reasons to NOT sign him.

What sucks is that this organization goes out and does a great thing like cutting Trent. Then we make this bone head move, not cool Buffalo.

I feel this is one of those times, when you're the average dude, who's dating the perfect girl, a perfect 10 and nobody knows how you did it. Life was perfect for several years, but now, trouble arises, you think she may be cheating or shes not truly happy with you, but you're so blind and try everything to make it happen, say anything to remain positive, but in the back of your head you just wonder, if packing your bags and shipping out of town is the best thing for everybody.

Maybe losing the Bills wouldn't be the end of the world because this is very painful as a every day fan.

Anyone else think that the Edwards release was announced today so the Bills could quietly extend Chris Kelsay without pissing off the fans?

I still can't believe this is even being discussed. We can take that money and use it on someone like Kiwanuka in the offseason, hell anyone but Kelsay. It would seriously be the last straw if they extended this fool.
