Jaguars claimed Trent Edwards.

He'll be starting there in the next 2 weeks.

Garrard is that bad.

I hope he does well.

Should be interesting to hear from him in a week or so.

I hope he plays against us so we can beat the **** out of him.

Like when Johnson was the starter for the Redskins and we ****ed him up good.

nice. this gives edwards enough time to become their starter, play the home game vs the bills and have a home game moment that rivals when rob johnson walked back on the field.

the only difference is Trent hasn't smack talked us yet.

it's going to be awesome to be ripped apart by him at home...before the buy. This board will be a lot of fun to navigate.

Seriously, where is that HH pat-yourself-on-the-back smiley? This is exactly the team I mentioned who would be interested in Edwards.

Good luck to him.

I agree - I have MJD in fantasy, and I'd love for him to catch all 30 passes that Edwards throws :snicker:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Another organization just as futile as the Bills! I am surprised they did not want to trade for him! Watch them cut Garrard after the season and pin their hopes on Edwards for next year.

For 52 yards total.

For 52 yards total.

Fine by me. That's just about as many points as MJD has been scoring lately.

I would, except nobody in my league likes to trade upper-tier players, and MJD's value is pretty low. I'd like to think he'll bounce back...

At least this takes the need for away for Jacksonville to draft a QB.

Not once they see him play. Are you kidding me ?

If he ends up starting against us, I hope it doesn't have the same results as when Flutie came back as a charger and we lost to them.

NAAAAAA! Just cover the 1-5 yards deep and we're set.

The Jags are officially collecting Captain Checkdowns. Trent will fit right in.

The best part is, I watched the Jaguars on Sunday and their Oline makes the Bills oline look like the Colts

Britton and Monroe are awful

Or they may just pick his brain for his knowledge of the Bills playbook and cut him after they play us.

Or he may start against us, play with a chip on his shoulder, and return to the Trent Edwards form we all saw at the beginning of 08.

Edwards plays well in warm climates. That's a good spot for him. No hard feelings here, good luck on your career Trent. JMO

Edwards also plays well with no pressure, which sums up our defense perfectly.

Not possible. We cut him and everyone knows once a team cuts a player that player sucks. The chances of Edwards succeeding are about 0.0%.:whistling

I didn't say he succeed overall...just for one game.

Good stuff man. Not that it could happen, but just in case, Gailey would send the house to knock him rtfo, but quick.

Just heard from Chris Mortensen that the Jets tried to claim Edwards and lost out to Jacksonville. Thank you Jaguars. lol JMO

Maybe the Bills will finally enact revenge for the Rob Johnson trade.

I do think Edwards might be salvageable; not as a starter, but as a decent spot-start guy. I'm not sure J-ville has the o-line to do it, though.

Well if that were to happen & the Bills get a higher draft pick than Jax, I guess we all should give Trent a big thank you. Trent finally did something for Buffalo.

I hope we lose to the jags.

Bills vs. Jags = Battle over Luck/Mallett draft pick.

We should forfeit the game so we don't accidentally win.

Heh. Or they'll demote Gerrard next week and cut him the week after.

Then we see the posts on this forum calling for the Bills to sign Gerrard...

Jack Del Rio: "Ummm...Trent do you mean to tell me that no where in the Bills playbook do they have a WR that runs more than 5 yards off the LOS?"

Trent: "That's how I saw it."
