Anybody know of any good bars to watch the college games around there? Also i heard a bunch of guys from here tailgate before the game on sunday. Whats the deal with that? Price? What comes with it? Where? Thanks in advance i really wanna enjoy the whole experience up there so any help would be appreciated

Unless you're going to go gamble at the casino then the entire Niagara Falls experience should take 2 hours at the most. That's including the ride on the Mist.

Yea me being unemployed didnt get us the greatest hotel and my girlfriend is a teacher, soccer referee and daycare worker which makes her almost nothing so were on a tight budget for the hotel. She planned this trip for my birthday so i cant complain. So does anybody know anything about the guys from this message board that all tailgate together? Any help would be appreciated

It seems that everyone has their own tailgate that they go to. The only time there is a "zone tailgate" is usually for the opener, or a playoff game.

Anyway, the Falls is kind of cool if you've never been but if you don't have a passport, you probably want to avoid going to Canada unless you have a few hours on your hands.

Not very familiar with the bars in Hamburg, or restaurants for that matter, but there are probably some sportsbars in the area. Guys from the site that go to games that maybe you could PM are Lecter, Thurm, Eb, Historian, and Clump, but with the exception of Thurm, all of those guys are really old.

Unfortunatley you're kinda in the middle of nowhere out in Hamburg. There are a few decent local bars in the village. The Warehouse on Milestrip near the rt.90 Blasdell exit (bout 5 min from hotel) is supposed to be a decent sports bar. Might be a good place to watch college games. I've never been though.

I would recommend heading downtown (about 15-20 min from Hamburg) for dinner/drinks saturday night if that's your thing. Pearl Street Brewery near HSBC arena is really cool and has great food and beer. Lots of good bars & restaurants just north of downtown in a neighborhood called 'Allentown', or on Elmwood Ave (again just north of downtown). Explore that barfly website or ask at the hotel. Just be careful of the 4am last call or you won't make the game.

If you don't have anyone to tailgate with, make sure you have beer and walk around checking out the parties. Most people are friendly enough that if you engage them they'll talk to you. I know I've met randoms who've wandered up to our party and started talking to me. Usually end up giving them beer/food and playing drinking games w/ them.

I live about 10 mins from Hamburg and am very familiar with the area.

From where you're staying, the best place for food/drinks to watch college football would probably be the WareHouse. It's awesome. TVs everywhere, amazing food, and great looking staff.

You'll be literally staying right off the 90, so you can jump right back on it, and head East, 1 exit. It's about a 3 min drive, literally. When you get off the exit, make a left and then a quick left and the Warehouse is right there. It's also right on the Thruway.

Really easy to get to, really close for you and a great place. There's also mall right by there (McKinley Mall) and a **** ton of other stores and restaurants.

If you want to watch some college game and eat some wings you gotta hit up Duffs in Orchard Park. It's passed the stadium so you can get your route and know the lay of the land. It's probably 15 mins from there but the wings are amazing, and it's a great scene for a sports bar. Worth the trip.

I sent him to the Warehouse because it's a little closer and they have a better sports bar atmosphere.

If you're into wings, a little known fact is that the Warehouse is owned by the same people who own Duffs. Alas, the wings are pretty much the exact same.

Hope you got out before the coming East Coastrain!

For parking, may I recommend Hammers' Lot?:
