    Final Letter to Trent

    Dear Trent,

Upon your abrupt release from the Buffalo Bills on Monday, I would like to personally thank you for your four "wonderful" years of service with our beloved Bills. Back in 2003, the fans thought that the Bills brass had hit the jackpot when they found the diamond in the rough from the west coast in you, Mr. Edwards. Heck, you even came with a Bill Walsh endorsement. That's gotta count for something.
Every week I have to do a feature on a letter to a player or coach or referee, etc. Of course, this week has to be to Trent.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
      It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Lots of failing in here. How fitting since it's about Trent.

the letter is longer than most of trent's throws though...so it has that going for it.

I had it 2007 on my original that I just checked, no clue why it says 2003. Good catch

if we aren't supposed to comment on what's wrong with the team, Beebe, what do we comment on?

the direction of the team is lacking based on the kelsay signing, everything is worse than it was last year which is partly expected, partly unacceptable.

Should we just be happy that the team's laundry machine seems to be getting the grass stains out nicely and that the whites seem to be vibrantly white? other than that, i see no positive signs on this team.
