Sabres no longer available on DISH Network

Yet another dispute between television providers and their channels has arisen, and this time it's costing subscribers to DISH Network the chance to see Sabres games.
The contract between MSG, cable home of the Sabres, and DISH Network expired at midnight without a new agreement. MSG Networks will be the home to 72 Sabres broadcasts this season.

Dude, I just got Dish three weeks ago so I could have the Sabres without paying Center Ice. Now I'm locked into a two year agreement.

On top of that, I violated my lease where I put the Dish and I'm in a dispute with the landlord over it. So basically if they don't have Sabres games, I'm super ****ed.

On the bright side, 1 week till the season, and another 2 or so of free Center Ice preview, so they have a few weeks to figure this out really.

Didn't think about Center Ice. Hopefully they get something figured out. I started a facebook group for this bull****.

“We call on DISH to come to the negotiating table and reconsider our good faith proposals. We encourage DISH subscribers to call 1-877-616-4MSG or visit www.iwantmsg.com for more information, including a list of other providers in their area that carry MSG and MSG Plus.”

I wonder how much this has to do with MSG having all the Sabres games in HD this year. I bet they are trying to rape Dish with that.

Do they show the games on CI if they're on locally? With the Ticket, they block any local games on the Ticket channel to force people to watch them on the local channel.

                  The local Channel is MSG.

                    Good point.

Although, if MSG isn't offered to Dish, it's no longer a "local" game.

I gotta think this gets solved though. I just realized it's all MSG networks. So this is the Rangers, Islanders, Devils, Knicks, etc.

I would imagine a market as big as NYC will be enough to push this through.

it don't matter for me because they still don't show sabres games on MSG if your out of area. That is unless you fork up the cash for center ice.

Looking ahead on my DishNetwork schedule, I won't get MSG on my CenterIce. I get the game on the Non-HD Ottawa channel. Between this and DishNetwork losing Fx and the Fox Channels, I'm ready to drop it.

Switch to Direct and use me as a reference. We would both save $10 a month for ten months.
