    Fire Tom Modrak!

The more I think about it, the more I want him gone. He's the only one left from the Tom Donahoe Era for some reason, yet he's the Head of college scouting. A lot of people think that he's not been the one making the decisions, but look at our drafts since he was first brough here and tell me why we should keep him.

I couldn't get passed Tim Euhus without vomiting in my mouth.

As Mike Gundy would say, THAT'S GARBAGE

I have defended him in the past because he was only a scout, but I agree I would be happy to see him gone as well.

You're blaming for picks he had little to no input on.

Fact is we have no idea how much input Modrak has on any of these decisions, you're looking for a scape goat to blame to make yourself feel better.

I also think it has to do with the organization not developing their players properly, coaches not putting guys in spots to succeed, losing culture, bad drafting/no talent, etc... Whatever the reason, you can't argue with how bad the players have ended up being.

We tossed John Guy off the team at the start of the year and used him as the scapegoat for all the NFL FAs that he signed. Why can't we do the same thing with Modrak? He might not be the main problem with drafts...but who else has been here with the team since 2001? Just Ralph and we can't fire him.

Wow that's so disturbing when you look at those lists.

I would really like to see the same for the other teams in our division.

They have had some blunders too, but is it this bad?

I'm with ya, Mikey-- or should I say Michael. Modrak is one of the common threads in the Lost Decade. You make a point about '01-- it was a relatively good draft, perhaps the last such draft.

                    Brandon
                    Overdorf

are just two of the names, and granted Op would love to can them well, but the fla in your point is in the bolded.

Like I said you want to fire a guy, just to fire him, not because you know he is incapable of actually doing his job properly.

Also didnt just two or three years ago RW say he was going to put more emphasis on Modrak's opinion in the war room? Thus making any pick made before them basically invalid.

Overdorf does not select players in the draft. He's just a money guy. And I don't think Brandon has any say either. I'm sorry, but the only guy that seems to have the most imput is Tom Modrak and for a decade of ****ty drafts like this, he deserves to go!

Yeah, I noticed that Modrak wasn't hired until after 2001. That draft was one of our better ones since 2000. Look at the first 3 rounds.

Jauron was the big voice for Maybin.
                          The Whitner/McCargo fiasco was Marv.

Basically Marv is the one that really F'ed the dog with his GM years and the hiring of Jauron.

Good point. Marv destroyed his legacy with his putrid job as a GM.
