Moorman is having a horrible season this year lol. Every punt goes at the longest, to the 10, never has the spiral to hit it towards there endzone, and he cant direct kicks. Its horrible, even the face of the franchise is sucking :(

I haven't been watching but I'd take a guy that could kick every punt to the 10.

22nd net average, 15th yards per punt.

Craziest thing is 6 punters are tied or have more punts then Moorman. I would have thought he lead the NFL in punts by a mile.

well we probably allow teams to control the clock more, preventing us from having more possessions and in turn more punts and of course don't forget the turnovers

This is Bruce DeHaven's influence... DeHaven's ideal punt is one with 5 seconds of hang time and about 35 yards of distance.

He's been asking Moorman to punt them high and short. (i'm not kidding)

Moorman is one of the best, why don't you get out there and punt in the Buffalo wind...

Moorman has always kicked with distance and hang time.

yes... but DeHaven doesn't want his punter to outpunt the coverage... if you punt it 50 yards with 4.5 sec of hangtime, you out-punted the coverage... if you punt it 35 yards with 4.5 sec of hangtime chances are the returner had 3 or 4 guys around him.

Almost all of the long punt returns the bills gave up in the past 10 years were a result of moorman outpunting the coverage... that said... i'd prefer moorman booming it for 65 yards... dehaven's nonsense is neutering moorman's game.

I think a lot of it is just the general attitude in the clubhouse right now. I'm sure there are a lot of guys that are extremely upset about the way things are going and probably don't want to be in Buffalo anymore.
