With LeSean McCoy out indefinitely with a broken rib, the Eagles have contacted the Bills about the availability of veteran running back Marshawn Lynch, a league source said today. McCoy suffered one broken rib during the Eagles' 17-12 loss to the Redskins Sunday at the Linc. Andy Reid did not say how much time he will miss.
Lynch has fallen out of favor in Buffalo after rushing for over 1,000 yards in his first two NFL seasons, 2007 and 2008. He went to the Pro Bowl in 2008 after rushing for 1,036 yards and eight touchdowns and catching 47 passes for 300 yards.

If he's traded, do you have to change your name?

Relax.... trade won't happen. http://www.phillyburbs.com/news/news_details/article/2514/2010/october/04/lynch-deal-not-expected-to-get-done.html

Interesting park is, Bills CALLED Philly, not the other way around.

Yeah.. I did say in another thread I heard this rumor actually had some teeth to it.

And I'm certainly not expert or major insider, but I do know the Bills aren't getting a third round pick for Marshawn Lynch.. Too much baggage, question marks and only a year and a half on his contract. Plus teams know Bills have Spiller and Jackson-- very little leverage.

Well, if that is the case, as I have said before, just keep him. He is playing well & his value will only go up if he continues to do so.

Even if he does leave after next year, the Bills will get a 3rd rnd comp pick after having him for 2 more years than if they trade him now.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Of course it makes sense.. but that's when the Bills do the polar opposite.

Can we get Bell back in the trade?

I'd almost settle for a 3rd and Bell at this point.

Who cares about Bell. He's meaningless. They can find a 3rd rb anywhere.

Report: Eagles not after RB (http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/10/05/report-eagles-not-after-rb/)

Despite LeSean McCoy’s broken rib and the lack of a proven back behind him, reports are now indicating that the Eagles are not interested in adding another running back.
That according to the Philadelphia Daily News, which cited a “source close to the situation” as saying that the Eagles are not looking to add a RB or QB at this time despite the injuries (http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/Garcia_says_talk_of_Eagles_return_is_speculation.html) suffered by starters at both of those positions.
There were rumors swirling earlier in the day that the Bills and Eagles had been in contact with one another and that naturally led to speculation on a possible trade involving Marshawn Lynch.
The Eagles have Mike Bell, Eldra Buckley and Joique Bell on the roster at the tailback position and it appears as though Andy Reid is prepared to go with that trio of backs this week if McCoy is not available per the report.
