School: Notre Dame
Class: Junior
Pos: TE
Num: #9
Height: 6-6
Weight: 265
Round Selected: 2-3

NFL Scouts rate: #1 out of 80 TE's

One of top tight ends as a junior, Rudolph combines great size, strength and speed with tremendous ball skills. The only negative side to this guy is that he isn't the greatest route runner. Aside from that I would love to see him come to Buffalo.

(2010): So far this season Rudolph has recorded 23 receptions for 290 yds and 3 TD.

(2009): In 2009 as a Sophomore he played 10 games with 33 receptions for 364 yds and 3 TD. 17-33 resulted in a first down.

(2008): During his freshman year Rudolph started all 13 games. He finished the year with 29 catches for 340 yards and 2 TD.

You posted them within minutes of each other, so I could see them...you know what never mind.

Rudolph is the best TE in the country, he'll be a top 20 pick, I think. I would like to see him improve his blocking some though.

he didn't play so hot the last two weeks but he's an excellent receiving TE and I'd love to see him in a Bills uni.

Yeah Idk how to delete the first, i meant to post it here anyways. But yes is lazy when it comes to his blocking. I think he may fall to us in the 2nd.

I dont see it. Too valuable a pass catcher.

Do you know of any teams who may jump at him in the 1st round? I can't think of anyone of the top of my head

We would use the #1 pick on a tight end. :ill:

Nope.

According to history, we would take one of the following:

1.) a DB (when it's not close to a top priority)

2.) a DE as long as he's either underweight and a one year wonder (Maybin), or just a one year wonder (Flowers)

3.) a QB as long as he sucks (RJ, Losman) or is a has been (Bledsoe)

4.) a RB when there's already excellent depth at the position (Mcgahee, Spiller)

5.) or a Lineman as long as he's huge reach with a high bust factor (Michelin Mike Williams), or a collossal reach back into the round for a player NOBODY ever heard of (McCargo)

yeah... Rudolph is gone in round 1... no way he makes it past pick 25... he'll probably be top 15... i know he would have last year had he come out.

unless you want the bills to take him with our 1st round pick we aren't getting him (though taking him with our 1st round pick WOULD be a quintessential Bills move...)

Agree on Rudolph, he's a top 20 pick. Theres guys later that look good too. DJ Williams, Lance Kendricks, and Luke Stocker to name a few.

While the Bills do need a TE (unless Nelson shocks us), it is way down on the need list since they need about 15 new starters.

He was only a true Soph last year, couldnt of come out. Though the point though remains the same, he's been the #1 TE in his class since he was in HS, and has the ability to stretch the field, make tough catches over the middle, play in-line or in the slot and just has some of the softest hands you'll ever find on a TE.

I think his blocking can get better with work, but he is very very good right now.

If you want a (potential) pass-catching TE, CIN's 2nd pick in the 3rd in '09 is available.

Chase Coffman.

He was cut this year, nobody signed him, so he's now on the CIN ps. He doesn't seem to be able to block a falling leaf... :;: :;: :;:
