Read the title. He is better than Fitz or Brohm... Better than Edwards or Losman

I guess you could add Tom Brady to the list if you wanted to.

lets see... Fitz has an astounding 88 qbr... which means he's 12th in the NFL over...

13 Matt Ryan, QB ATL 86.5
14 Chad Henne, QB MIA 86.1
15 Donovan McNabb, QB WSH 84.7
16 Josh Freeman, QB TB 84.6
17 Carson Palmer, QB CIN 82.7
18 Seneca Wallace, QB CLE 82.2
19 Eli Manning, QB NYG 81.2
20 David Garrard, QB JAC 80.7
21 Matt Cassel, QB KC 75.4
22 Bruce Gradkowski, QB OAK 74.7
23 Sam Bradford, QB STL 72.3
24 Matt Hasselbeck, QB SEA 70.7
25 Joe Flacco, QB BAL 70.5
26 Shaun Hill, QB DET 70.2
27 Alex Smith, QB SF 66.1
28 Brett Favre, QB MIN 60.4
29 Jimmy Clausen, QB CAR 59.6
30 Derek Anderson, QB ARI 59.5

i'd like to know how Jimmy Clausen makes your list really... and no... i don't believe that Fitz is the answer... just pointing out we have a LOT of problems a QB won't solve.

I'd say any QB with less then an 80 qbr is a serious problem for their team... so there are 10 qbs right now who really are hurting their squad... of those 10, Hill is a 2nd stringer filling in for the perpetually injured Stafford, Bradford is a rookie, and every week has been getting better and is on pace for a 4000 yard, 26 td rookie year... Gradkoski is the 2nd string QB filling in for the walking disaster that is Jason Campbell... Favre is going through the motions and might just retire midseason... and while i've never been a Flacco fan i think he'll get it turned around.

Looking at that list i'd say Oak, KC (if they're smart... but they're not), Sea, SF, Minn, Car, AZ, Cle are all in the market for a QB next year... Washington as well as McNabb looks like he's on his last 3 years of production.

While that 'list' may be true (Clausen isn't atm, but whatever), it still doesn't make much of a difference. What we need, is a genuine 'franchise' QB, who will start for the next 10 years plus. The vast majority of those QBs on the list, don't actually qualify imho.
Better than what we have, probably, what we actually need, not so much.
If we have to, we would be better served by actually getting every other part in place, and taking the lumps, than wasting time with a merely 'decent' QB. The next guy we take in the draft in a very high round, needs to be 'it'.

It does seem conspicuous he is left out. Must be a personal thing.
