From the Lynch pick, we got one good season and a 4th round draft choice.

Don't get me wrong, I'm ok with the trade because what's done is done. But this is why this franchise can never get ahead: terrible draft choices that don't produce, leading to poor performances on the field and perpetually drafting the same positions because they were never properly addressed.

It's really old.

He produced just fine considering we had no passing game and a terrible offensive line for so long. Just because a guy is gone doens't mean he was a bust.

It's a good deal all around. Marshawn will produce in Seattle, CJ will get more carries ( a more dynamic back), and more importantly, with only two main ball carriers our offense can finally get some continuity.

I'm sure he'll do fine in Seattle, but that's irrelevant.

As far as the Bills are concerned, he's a bust. We got one good season and a 4th round draft pick out of a #1 overall pick. Teams that draft like that can't win in this league.

We drafted a good player at 11 and the right player at the time - unless you wanted Anthony Thomas to start all season. Looking back, it obvouisly doesn't matter because we didn't make the playoffs anyway, but at the time it was the right pick.

Yeah, it's frustrating. At least we got something for him (and it's not just a 4th, it's a 4th and a conditional 2012 pick - I'd like to know what the conditions are and how high it could go).

who else were we gonna take - I'm pretty sure you were on the lynch wagon when it was our turn to draft since Patrick Willis and AP were both gone when it was our turn.

I don't recall- maybe I was. But again, that's irrelevant. There are people working for this team who get paid a lot of money to get it right, and they got it WRONG, yet again.

If it was the right player then he'd still be on the roster and he'd be having his 4th good season.

Unlike the Losman, McCargo, Whitner, etc. first round picks, the Lynch pick was a good one at the time. It didn't work out, so yes, you're right, it didn't end up being a good pick, but at the time, I don't think the FO blew that pick. If it weren't for off the field issues, he would've been fine in Buffalo.
