Bills add LB to practice squad

    Didn't see this posted yet.

The Bills added a linebacker to their practice squad Tuesday signing Thomas Williams, who fills the lone vacancy on the eight-man unit.

Williams (6’1” 240) was most recently with the New England Patriots this past offseason, but did not make the final roster cut in early September. He spent most of the 2009 season on New England’s practice squad after beginning the year on Seattle’s practice unit.

Had a decent camp for the Pats. They played him inside mostly, but he doesn't take on blocks well and isn't real stout. He isn't real big and was mostly was a backup at USC. He was a terrific ST'er at USC, causing Pete Carroll to nickname him "Hitman". Jacksonville drafted him because of his ST ability, but he was cut midway through his rookie season. Ultimately, his ST performance hasn't been as good in the NFL.

His real value is his versatility. He can play inside or outside. He can play fullback, and the Pats used him there some in camp, as he did at USC. He does a lot of things, he just didn't do any of them well enough to stick. He seemed a high-effort guy who still may be able to carve out a role at the bottom of a roster with his versatility.

So, in a nut shell, he'll be a star on our roster?

so what you're saying is he's due a 24 mil dollar contract extension and a starting spot in our front 7?
