Merriman to be released...per Adam Schefter

When he is healthy in a couple of weeks, the Chargers will release Merriman. I would not mind the Bills trying to land him. Of course, he has never been the same player since his suspension, but he'd be worth a look...especially with the LB's we have on this roster.

We need to make this happen, even tho I can see him on NE, NYJ, or Mia, but I really hope we land him. We need to get Nix and Florence talking

We don't "need" to make this happen.

As Nighthawk said, he hasn't been the same and he's been pretty injury prone, so it may be a waste of a pickup.

Although I wouldn't be opposed to it happening.

Picking up players just because they are better than what the Bills have doesn't make them good players. It makes them better than garbage.

Actually, he was awesome after his suspension. Posted 17 sacks that season, and followed it up with another dozen or so the following year.

He's never been the same since blowing out his knee however.

merrimen at half speed is better then any lb on this team that being said still doesnt mean we need to get him.

i like our 0-16 pace it means we will get a qb

If the Bills keep losing, they will be able to claim him via waivers. The Bills and 49ers are the worst two teams record wise, but who's at the bottom for sure?

That's a leader you can rally a young defense around. I just don't know if he would be up for coming here. I guess it would depend on how his relationship with Nix is and whether the Bills would even be interested. The last one is a puzzler. Just can't figure this team out anymore. JMO

The Bills will be. The Niners will eventually win some games. They have an easier schedule.

lol... the Bills don't pay for Veteran players unless they will take next to nothing and no one else wants them.. plus apparently they are giving up on the 3-4 already.

agreed. it wouldn't hurt having him on this team.

Why would he want to come to the most hopeless franchise in the league? He'll have better options somewhere else.
