The Bills will be without starting right tackle Cornell Green for several games, coach Chan Gailey said after Wednesday's practice.
"We rested a bunch of guys today," Gailey said. "The only one that looks like we will not have for awhile now is Cornell Green. We'll miss him for awhile."
Green had been bothered by a sore knee in preseason, but he has not missed any practice time the first five weeks. However, Green had to be relieved in the fourth quarter against Jacksonville on Sunday by rookie Cordaro Howard. Gailey would not be specific about Green's injury but he said it will not require surgery.
"It's stuff he's been dealing with," Gailey said. "It got a little worse, and we let it go. He probably pushed it too far last week and it's cost him a few games."
Asked if Howard will take Green's spot, Gailey said: "Right now, yes."
