I'm not sure why we would want him. Or, how you can say he's any good w/o steroids. He has not proven that he is. Plus, he seems like a cancer.

He literally hasn't done a thing since 2007. The only reason we'd consider him is because we're desperate.

Like it or not, Bills just Kelsay 24 million... and they like Moats and Coleman as long term candidates. Plus, a pass rushing OLB has to be a high priority next offseason.

I dont think this guy fits into the Bills in any way, shape or form. For him to come here, Ralph would have to OVERPAY him big time, far more than he'll get somewhere else, and when he did "OK' at best fans would then blast the F.O. for being ******ed.

Merriman was bagged for steroids and suspended the first 4 games of 2006. He was a terror sacking QB for the next 2 years.

The thing that was his undoing was blowing out his knee in 2008. Since then he has not been able to stay healthy, with both a foot injury and knee soreness. Health was his undoing.

Who cares where or in what round, if any, the Bills get their players from? A player is a player and if these guys can become players of note, all the more power to them and the Biils for obtaining their services.

Before Jason Peters, and others, Buffalo long ago drafted a college TE in the 17th round (back in the day), who became one of Buffalo's and the old AFL's greatest players. His name was Tom Sestak. For all the youngsters out there, he's is still the best Defensive Tackle the Bills have ever had. He was also voted onto the AFL All-Time Team. Knee injury shortened his career, but he was an absolute animal in his day, both in destroying run plays, but also as a sack master, before sacks became an official statistic, he was a double digit guy.

The point was we shouldn't be relying on them. Not that oldtimers like you would get that...

People should stop using exceptions against the general rule.

Of course there's talent that was found later in the draft, before it was even shortened to the 7 rounds of today, there were also less teams drafting for a players service as well back then.

There are still guys today that can break out after being a UDFA, but most UDFAs either don't make rosters or are special teams players. For every Jason Peters and Joshua Cribbs type of a guy there's hundreds of Marcus Monks.

That doesn't mean you should just give up on UDFA all together, but it does mean you shouldn't rely heavily on them at having a formidable future with the franchise.

He's only averaged 3.9 tackles per game in his career... His best season for tackles (2007), he averaged just 4.5 tackles per game.

Now... you wanna compare those numbers to our admittedly putrid LB's?
Kelsay's avereaged the same 3.9 tackles per game over his career... He's averaging 6 tackles per game this season!
