All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Landing a stud QB will be key for the Bills in the coming draft. We should be in a position to get one. Right now, I want Luck or Mallett. Can't decide which, but I'm leaning towards Luck. We should be turning over any rock looking for help at the QB position. I'm impressed by both Ricky Ray & Dalton Bell up in the CFL. One of those guys could start until the rookie is ready. We cannot keep striking out at QB. Thoughts, people?
I'd say draft the sure thing whether its a LT or QB
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
A LT & stick with the garbage we have at QB???? No thanks.
It takes time to rebuild and a QB with no protection develops bad habits.

Sam Bradford seems to be doing just fine. We need a QB. Lineman can be addressed in later draft rounds.
The Rams line is way better than ours.

I just think they need to take the sure thing... whether thats a QB or LT.

LUck over Mallett.
I still think the way the draft in QB will go is LUCK, LOCKER, and Mallett..
Locker having the athletic ability over all of them but a bit inconsistent.
I still feel that Locker is the better TALENT....
You can't win in this league without a QB. It all starts there. There isn't an elite LT in the top 5 of the draft anyways, so a QB has to be the pick. If Luck doesn't come out, I would have to say Mallett would be the pick, unless Locker really excels the rest of the season.
Why, in discussing the O-line and LT, do many posters ignore the fact that Bell is developing nicely, and may be a pretty damned good LT by the end of the season.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
