Could we beat an UFL team?

Last month, UFL investor and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban talked up the upstart pro football league as having a talent level that "is off the charts" and that it's "pretty much hand-in-hand with anything you're gonna get from the NFL."

On Thursday, Las Vegas Locos coach Jim Fassel offered a more realistic assessment.

"I can't speak for the other teams, but I think the lower part of the NFL -- teams that have struggled this year - yeah, I think it would be a good game," Fassel told reporters on a conference call, via FanHouse.com.

Later that same day, Sacramento Mountain Lions coach Dennis Green was even more realistic. "It's like the Rams playing against Ohio State," Green said of the difference between the UFL and the NFL.

Of course, this year the biggest question would be whether to take the Bills and the points.

I'd take the best UFL team over us right now.

We wouldn't beat, we would annihilate any UFL team, any CFL team, and any College team.

Too bad we don't play in any of those leagues though.

We've actually lost to a CFL team in the past.

Those guys are in the UFL for a reason. They are not good enough to make an NFL roster. Most our starters are at least good enough to be NFL backups. A UFL all star team could not beat the Bills

I dunno, i would ask the question

              1. Could a team of slightly less than NFL quality players who are playing together as a team, organized and clicking could take a group of slightly less than NFL quality players (the bills) who have maybe 4-5 NFL quality players that are in complete disarray and have no direction.

I would not bet against the UFL guys

Most of you are to young to remember but there was a time when the NFL champions would take on a team of the college all stars in an exhibition game. The NFL team did not always win and they were the league champs. Just sayin

The reason I think we would destroy any of the aforementioned leagues is due to the disparity in speed and size. Sure we don't match up well against other NFL teams overall, but at worst we are the worst of the best players that came up from the college ranks. Remember what CJ did to everyone in college? Maybin ate college LT's up for crissake! lol

That may be a different story. I don't think we would beat a college all-star team if they had 3 weeks to prepare.

If Fassel is that stupid, no wonder he's not in the NFL.

Wasn't JP Losman the league MVP of the UFL?

Then the answer is a resounding, "Yes."

I don't know, JP Losman has been our best qb of the last five years.

No way. It wouldn't even be close. It has more to do with the overall sum of talent as there are a few players on the Bills who don't belong in the nfl. But most do belong even if they are below average the ufl are guys who don't even make it in the nfl.

i am willing to bet we could replace a quarter of our starters with guys from the ufl and be better

The key being 1/4. The other 3/4 would result in murder.
