Good god, we might become even more famous than "Wide Right"

I never thought that this team of ours would become anymore infamous than the first team that popped into someone's mind when they heard the phrase, "wide right" but by the looks of our schedule and current record and state of the team, we have a realistic opportunity to become more recognizable than 0-4...it may be 0-16.

Holy crap! Other than Detroit and Cleveland we would have to surprise some good team on the remaining schedule to beat them. They are all quality teams except for Detroit and Cleveland and even Detroit looks better than we do.

What the hell...why not give everyone else something more to laugh at! Absolutely no question that we are looking at a top 3 pick in 2011!

This is a painful reality. When we lost to Jacksonville I said wow we truthfully could go 0-16 this year. I'm ok with 1 or 2 wins, but zero?? Please god no!

Don't forget the Monday Night Opener at the Patriots last year and Mclovin's fumble.

I would not worry just yet, going 0-16 is just as difficult as 16-0 in many ways so Im still confident we sneak a couple/few wins before it's over.

If there is one thing I know we can do it's mess up at being inept

What about the loss to Jacksonville loss? Can't remember the year (96 or 98) but I remember it being painful.

Oh I didn't forget I was at that game. And then you had McKelvin say in an interview that he would have done the same thing again. Stupid.

But as ridiculous as that was we had 6 turnovers against the Cowgirls..who the F loses a game they created 6 TO's in?

The same team that needed to go to overtime against the jets when they had 6 TO differential.

*sigh*. We've even finally lost our staunchest National advocate in Boomer.

as for the original topic, since the lions just went 0-16, i don't feel like we are going to take as much abuse as they did for doing it first.

the key is that if another team goes 0-16 in the next 3 years, then we'll finally get some "genius" reporter to stop writing, "parity, parity parity" and "only a select number of teams constantly win." which has been the case for hte last 10 years. but the league wants you to believe anyone can win.

Not to go completely off topic, but I think I agreed with McKelvin. Wasn't that play pretty close to the two minute warning? Taking it out would've burned some of the clock and allowed us to get extra time to run off the clock.

He should've fallen to the ground as soon as a gust of wind hit him though...
