OP and Whitner lovers are gonna love this

Ngata saw self as Bills pick

“When the Bills passed up on me, I was like ‘OK, hopefully I’ll just get drafted,’” Ngata recalled. ”I thought the Bills would draft me and they didn’t, so I just kind of looked down the line to see who else wanted me and fortunately Baltimore came and picked me up.”

Re: OP and Whitner lovers are gonna love this

”When I was getting drafted people were saying there were a bunch of things wrong with me. I don’t hustle to the ball, I’m not a pass rusher. I kind of wanted to prove those guys wrong. Ever since I’ve been in the league, I wanted to show that I can run to the ball, I can make plays. Every year I felt like I’ve been able to improve and I want to keep improving.”

I wonder what it would be like to have those kinds of players on the Bills: ones with motivation to prove their detractors wrong, and the talent to do it. Seems like we only have players with the former attribute.

seems like if hte bills took him, he'd have no motivation and we'd be complaining about him.

but our passing of him, shocked him into playing well.

you can never win with the bills. an old statement that is now greating scarily more true by the week.

We had that with guys like Thurman Thomas. Now we have the Marshawn Lynchs of the game.

What Ngata's quote tells me is the Bills were talking to him. Someone wanted Ngata on the Bills but must have been overruled when it was time to pick.

Yes. That was until Whitner fell into our laps, and we couldn't refuse him.

aside from a snide comment from the hammer, i really feel like one of the reason's he is so dominant is because he takes it so serious after getting snubbed.

he could still have been dominant on the bills, but maybe he would have been a highly drafted player who thinks he can solely rely on being athletic as opposed to being a good learner.

whitner is a douche. even if he went to psu i'd still think hes a douche. i'd still think he is a terrible player. i'd still think he is a 5 year old girl.
