Blaine Gabbert, QB, is on at 8pm on ABC

Today's the day to show what he's got against the top team in the nation. Missouri vs. Oklahoma. Ive said it many times, I dont expect a win, and losing doesn't hurt his stock IMO. I want to see him play up to the challenge and play well.

Here's the write up I have for him so far:

    Blaine Gabbert, QB, Mizzou

As always feel free to reply in that thread with your thoughts.

Here's ESPN's preview of the game:

Pregame analysis and predictions of the Missouri Tigers vs. Oklahoma Sooners NCAAF game to be played on October 23, 2010 on ESPN.

Tune in and give him a look.

I wonder if Blaine feels all the eyes on him.

      I wish him luck.

Gabbert has been a bit off target so far... is throwing high too often.

And its not even what he's capable of yet. I hope he shows in the 2nd half what he can do. He's been pretty pedestrian so far. But I think he's shown his ability to throw the ball, his nice touch, and some play-making ability when it all falls apart. Too many throws a bit high though, its a bit unusual for him. He does it on occasion, but not this much. Could be nerves. Lots of game still to watch.

Man I've seen bits and peices of him but after watching him the whole game call me impressed. Love his release, arm and most importantly the anticipates recievers getting open.

Not too shabby of a first half.

Seems to have good pocket presence, and doesn't appear to tuck and run at the first sign of pressure. Couple of good replays from behind showing him looking right, than coming back to the left for the throw. Looks a little awkward when he's on the move....I'd really like to see how he comes out from under center in a traditional set. Nice zip, decent accuracy, and a little bit of touch. Would also like to see a couple of deep shots in the second half.

His long throws are pretty nice actually. Its too bad Mizzou doesn't do it more often. Still, I think you will see a few before the game is done. He hasn't been pressured as much as I would have thought. He actually is good under fire, it would be good to see him in that situation.

Newton had a great game for sure. I think he's earning serious Heisman votes.

I like what I've seen from Gabbert in the few games I've watched. He seems like a solid prospect and at this point I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Bills uniform.

It appears that all the top qb prospects are juniors. Any chance these guys all choose to stay in school?

Unless Mallett takes a big nose dive, I think he comes out. Locker is a senior, Luck is probably the biggest question mark of the top QB prospects. I think he may bolt for the NFL if he carries a top pick grade going into the decision. Gabbert is a big question mark. I think it will depend on what the advisory committee sees. If he gets a 1st round grade, I could see him leave, if not I could see him stay.
