he's not a very good number 2, but is certainly a very nice number 3...then again maybe it was trent that was killing him earlier this year...but he's got plenty of potential

I still don't like the fairly consistent drops.

Having a great game but our WHOLE offense is having a great game so far..

He's had a great game today so far.

But Fitz has as much to do with that as him.

That's becoming a nice combination.

Agree Sal, but many said he would never be anything because he was a 7th round pick

Glad to see Stevie coming around. This is what happens when a player gets the needed reps and has a 1/2 decent QB throwing the ball.

Got to tip the hat to Fitz who has earned respect from me. I gave the guy a boat load of **** early, but he definitley has a much better command of the QB position the TE ever did

It isnt that I am (or was) a Stevie Johnson hater, we just have not really seen a player improve in a few years. So we see a bad player, and just assume they are going to be bad until they leave.

Stevie has improved, so I am on the Stevie train. But I will not be one of those guys calling him the best WR we have seen since Moulds or Reed. :P

Praise and derision are both earned. He earned derision before....of late he has earned praise.

Let's hope he can keep it up, add in Nelson2, and Roscoe, and we could have a very good WR corp. If we then land a true #1 via FA or Draft...look out.

He's having a good game, and helping put points on the board when it counts today instead of garbage time.

I'll be impressed if it carries over past this first half.

EXACTLY. Thought the same thing on his TD. People called him a "Garbage time reciever"

On a side note, I could easily see neither Stupar nor Nelson making the 53 next summer.

like i said in the other thread, i wasnt going to jump on the #13 bandwagon til he gave me a reason to.... itd be like jumping on the ed wang bandwagon right now, when he hasnt done anything yet. im glad johnson is doing well, but whats with the "i told you so" garbage? for every guy people here are wrong about, theres a dozen theyre right about (whitner, maybin, etc)

#13 and #83 really worked well together today...Stevie opened up a lot of plays for Lee by making his own plays. His 40 yard catch setup Lees 33 yard TD I believe. That is somewhere we have been missing, even a decent #2 to open up #83 and I think we found that. Throw in the other guys and our WR core could be set for a while.

Don't forget we got Easley on IR also. I am very excited for our offense in the future with some of the young stars we got, and I agree with Sullivan that Fitz could be very helpful in grooming our next QB.
