He's in your prayers? He had knee surgery, not a bone marrow transplant or tripple by-pass. :shakeno:.

Sorry Wysman. I don't really see the need to pray as your life isn't in jeopardy, but I will buy you a beer next time I see you.

People pray for others to have a quick recovery and to not be in so much pain. You pray that everything went well. There are a lot of things to pray for and frankly it's nice to know that someone cares enough about you to send prayers up to God for you. :shakeno: Maybe one day I'll say a prayer that you get that much needed heart. ;)

You're wasting God's time with prayers like that. Pray for the truly needy, the lonely, the oppressed North American Indian, Les Quebecois to liberate themselves from Canada.

Good luck on the recovery Wys, but make it fast! :D

That's not true. God likes hearing from us. It shows him that he's needed and wanted in our lives. I talk to God all the time. That's what he wants us to do.

Maybe instead of going to the Brew Pub or the tailgate party your time would be better spent in a church somewhere. ;)

He doesn't talk back to you does he?

Valerie

Nope. Or if he is, I'm totally missing his message. :(

A good tale:

One time a donkey fell in a well. A farmer came a long, saw it, and tried to help the donkey. But no matter what he did, he couldn't get the donkey out of the well. So he went into town, grabbed a couple of his friends, and together they tried to get the scared, cold and hungry donkey out of the well. Nothing worked. Feeling terrible for the poor, frightened donkey, they realized the only way to help him was to put him out of his misery. So they all grabbed their shovels and started filling in the well with dirt. Realizing what they were doing, the donkey became frantic and was crying for someone to save his life. One by one the shovel fulls of dirt would hit the donkeys back and one by one he'd shake it off and become more frightened of being buried alive. After a few minutes, the men couldn't hear the donkey's cries anymore. Thinking they were finished, they looked down into the well and noticed the donkey very calmly and peacefully looking up at them. Two of the men continued while the other watched to see what was happening below. What he saw was incredible. As each shovel full of dirt hit the donkey's back, the donkey would shake it off and step up on it. Little by little the donkey shook it off and stepped on it, and eventually the pile of dirt that was supposed to end the donkey's suffering became so high that he stepped out of the well and saved his life.

The moral of the story: God talks to you all the time. You have to just calm down so you can hear him.

I read the moral as:

Shoot the donkey first so when you bury it it won't wiggle around so much.

I guess your way works to.

That was a nice story, Rude. :) I'm shocked and impressed. I know that God talks to me all the time, it's just a matter of hearing him. And, when you think he's not listening or answering your prayers, he is. Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.

I got a story:
I asked a preacher one day where God got his power and where I could get some, he threw me out.

Moral: I got hosed.

get better soon Wys. You should have given me your ticket.
