I like to think of mine as more old school amateurish...
S11, you need to cut your pictures better.... try using the lasso tool in photoshop when you have the image zoomed in a bit (looks like you only use the eraser). Like the concept though

I did those in a hurry...cutting out pictures like that is hard and takes patiences. I didn't zoom in...Great advice though.

Use the pen tool. Find a tutorial online. it makes cutting out shapes easier.

I tried to fool with the pen tool today...it's not very straight forward.

Do you guys use CS5? I'm using Photoshop 7. CS5 is EXPENSIVE.

I have CS5 yes.
Since I use that and Photoshop for my classes, I figure that it would be worth the money to work on stuff at home.

That pen tool is easy and fun to use once you get the hang of it.

This one is a little cleaner

Much cleaner. You can also make a copy of the player..paste the layer behind the original and use the motion blur filter to make it seem like he's moving fast
It's fun to experiment with the filters.

I've used that effect so much.
My favorite is:
Duplicate
On under layer use Gaussian Blur and blur the **** out of it.
Set over layer to Overlay
Magic wand > select outside of figure
right click > feather > set it to like 5 > ok
