Re: Is our tackle problem fixed?
I think Bell has made a lot of progress, and that Howard shows promise. If both continue to develop, we will not have to use a high pick on the O-line.Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

But, I'd love to land a guy like Carimi in round 2.
But, I'm feeling better about Bell all the time. And Howard was a bright spot so who knows.

Terrence Pennington looked good too.
Howard's played one game. He needs to do this the rest of the year before we even begin to think about being complacent on the Oline. Not to mention Bell isn't anything better than average at LT right now.Internet Breeds Complacency.

Re: Is our tackle problem fixed?
Bell was always a guy that people really liked because of his potential, but when we drafted him it also seemed understood that he was raw and would need time to develop. The problem has been that Bills fans have been so frustrated with the teams play, and rightfully so, that no one gets a chance to develop and grow anymore. Wanting all our players to be good right from the get go would be great, but it's just not realistic.

I can give you a firm. . . "maybe" on that question. I agree with Jan. Right now, d-linemen and linebackers is a more accute and obvious need.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
