Forked from: If you could change 1 decision, what would it be? (http://www.billszone.com/fanzone/showpost.php?postid=3348032)

To fork off of homeslices original thought, and to add a bit of a challenge to it. What is the Bills best move of the last 10 years?

finding Peters as an UDFA? Trading McGahee, Lynch? Signing Moorman?

I guess no one can think of any.

Signing Takeo Spikes.

I also considered getting a first-round pick for Peerless Price, but that could be considered the Falcons' stupidity as much as a Bills accomplishment.

Probably trading for Bledsoe.

A half-season of lights-out play and failure after three years is not a great use of a first-round pick.

Not to mention it gave the Patriots picks that they used to kick our asses for the next 8 years and counting....

Not much to work with here, but I'm going with "Ending the Jauron Era."

It is pathetic that signing Moorman long term is a close second.

At the time it was made, it was a good move.

Honestly, there aren't many good moves at all.

It was also our last winning season.

My hope is bringing in Nix/Gailey as GM/HC,

Looking back I'll say the acquisition of Takeo Spikes or London Fletcher,

Ralph voting against the last CBA.

God, what a horrible 10 years. Our best moves were a QB who was good for a half season, a LB who tore up his achilles tendon, a defensive coach who left after a couple(?) of years, and getting rid of a head coach.

Ralph voting against the last CBA.

That depends if you value outcome over intent.

Ralph voted against the CBA because, in his OWN words, he "didn't understand it." It's nice to think that he had the foresight to anticipate all these problems that the CBA currently has, but the reality is that the old codger was drooling into his Ensure rather than offering some insightful criticism.

That is only half true. He said he vote against it because noboy had the time to read it and understand it.

WHich ended up being true, because even those who did vote for it now know they did not fully understand it.

The 'problems' were in the open, from the start...

The league agreed Wednesday to the union's proposal, including a revenue-sharing component that will cost owners nearly a billion dollars over the next six years.

Commissioner Paul Tagliabue said $850 million to $900 million in players' salary will be added over the life of the deal because of the revenue-sharing component, which the union fought for throughout the on-again, off-again talks.

The offseason where we signed Spikes, Milloy, and Sam Adams. It was the only year, that I can think of, that RW was actually serious about winning football games. That was a pretty legit team if not for Tom Modrak & company screwing up draft after draft.

Re-signing Moulds to a long term extension was the best move of the decade. It's too bad we couldn't ever put a good enough team around him to get back to the playoffs.

Honestly, there aren't many good moves at all.Actually, I think the Bills have made a lot of good moves. It's just that they have made a lot of very significant terrible moves too. Signing Lindell, Moorman, London Fletcher, Jason Peters, Fred Jackson; drafting McGee, Demetrius Bell (he was raw as you'd expect from a 7th round pick, but I think his selection by the Bills is going to look better and better every year) and Steve Johnson, are a few of the good player personnel moves the Bills have made.

Our best moves were finding talent at corner and safety. Greer, Scott, Wilson, etc.
