This team is not good and in no way is a cup contender or even a playoff contender at this point. They look like the same crappy, inconsistent team that they have for 3 out of the last 4 years. The FO of this organization is f'n clueless.

Well, to be fair he's spent a lot of time in his career on D

However he was stellar in the playoffs last year - he had 11 goals and 5 assists for 16 points - that ranks him number 15 among NHL players in PIM in the playoffs. And his 11 goals in the playoffs ties him for 3rd with Patrick Sharp in the entire NHL, and tied for first place with Sharp as the highest scoring Blackhawk in the playoffs. Only Cammaleri and Briere scored more goals in the playoffs with 13 and 12 respectively.

I think the Sabres could have done a heckuva lot worse than picking up Byfuglien - a guy with proven Stanley Cup credentials and experience - but it's all academic speculation at this point - they clearly didn't.

I agree. I'm really sorry I invested in the Center Ice package. There is no leadership on the ice (the totally uninspiring Rivet was even benched last night) and Lindy's motivational techniques are definitely not working.
