View Full Version : Bills Look To Get Their First Win In Kansas City, But It Won't Be Easy

The Buffalo Bills take their 0-6 record to face the Kansas City Chiefs this week. They are hoping to get their first win after coming so close last week against the Baltimore Ravens. The problem is that the Chiefs are off to their best start since 2005. They are 4-2 and have already won as many games as they did all of last year. If the Bills are to pull off the upset, they are going to need a huge game from QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who threw for over 375 yards last week, breaking the team's 59-game streak without a 300-yard passer. Just like last week, Fitzpatrick has to find a way to get Lee Evans the ball. Hopefully Steve Johnson can keep making plays, because it will take some of the double coverage off Evans.

They will also need a big game from their running backs. If you can control the clock, you can keep the Chiefs offense off the field. I expect to see Fred Jackson continue to get more carries. He had 23 last week, and that's a good start. But the Bills have to get more out of their running game, especially in the second half. This also means CJ Spiller too. He continues to be underused, as he is still struggling at picking up the blitz. But you have to find more ways to get him involved!

I just hope Fitz has another good week.

I picked him up in fantasy and I'm starting him.

I think he will. The Chiefs secondary isn't great and they got a couple players he can exploit, like Fabian Washington last week.

We're going to have to put up about 40.

I'm not so sure about that. If we can run the ball and keep the Chiefs off the field, maybe we could keep them under 30...

I think the defense shows up this week.

If we keep the Chiefs off the field, we'd have a shutout going.

We're getting 3 picks this game. One of them being a pick 6.

Throw a lateral to Parrish and just have him run around for 30 minutes.

Good article Michael. I am surprised the Bills have not used Spiller in the passing game more, like the Vikings with Harvin.

Thanks! Good point. I was hoping that the Bills would use more 2 back formations and use Spiller in the passing game, but so far, they haven't done that.
