McKinney at center only sure thing
The Texans have approached offseason workouts as if the blueprints for the success of their offensive line were locked away in a safe to which no one knows the combination.
That's why Tony Marciano has to be equal parts offensive line coach and locksmith. Marciano has spent the past six weeks mixing and matching the numbers, trying to string together the five who ultimately will crack the code. For now, No. 76 in the middle is the only given.
Between now and the Sept. 7 regular-season opener at Miami, Marciano must do enough fidgeting with the knob to identify the two numbers that come before 76, aka center Steve McKinney, and the two numbers that follow. Otherwise, the offense will be on lockdown for another season...
