Maybin for Gholston.

Would you do it? I bet Ryan would make us look bad though and turn something out of Aaron.

Since the trade deadline is past and both are likely to get cut in the offseason I say no.

If Ryan can't make something out of Gholston, how would he make something out of Maybin?

Gholston has been playing better. He is a suitable backup. The difference is that Gholson has the physical tools to play the position. Maybin has the size and strength to play safety.

Would rather have Gholston.

He's serviceable as a backup and could be, in the right situation, coached up to be a player. Maybin just doesn't have the size to be a player.

What makes him serviceable back up?

Gholston 36 games 21 tackles 14 assists

Maybin: 21 games 14 tackles 9 assists, 1 forced fumble

How is he any better than Maybin?

The grass is always greener on the other side. Don't you know that?

Some people just pull random thoughts out of their ass, put it on paper, or in this case, the internet, and call it a good idea.

He has the size to be coached up to play the position.

Maybin has no business even attempting to be an NFL LB.

That's how.

That is not what you said.
You said he is a serviceable back-up. Right now he is no better than Maybin. And he has had one more year in the league.

He's also serviceable in the aspect of who's still dressing for games? On a much better defense? On a much better team?

Who isn't even dressing?

He's better in the fact that he's actually playing.

Gholston has never shown he can be coached up to the NFL level. Maybin has shown he can add the weight.

The better question is, if Ryan can't get production out of Gholston, what makes you think the Bills can?

Cant we trade him to the Vikings for a 3rd rounder?
