Great idea! I suspect people like Rodney Harrison would fall in the coward list when he doesn't have a facemask to protect him.

It has nothing to do with being a tough hitter, as it has to do with the fact that they are protected from their helmets. Take the facemask off, and we'll see how tough they are protecting their teeth and nose.

Poor solution.

Those type of players lead with the crown of their helmet, facemask or no facemask, wouldn't make a difference.

those guys would never again commit an illegal hit if there were no facemasks.

I remember many times as a player when I had the opportunity to hurt someone else. I never did it, and I actually had my teammates ask me why I didnt lay out that defenseless receiver later. Its just a game, guys. Braining someone for no reason is not ok.

Joe Pa is the winningest coach in FBS (currently 400 wins). Eddie Robinson holds the Division 1 record with 408 wins on the FCS level at Grambling. The all-time NCAA record holder is John Gagliardi (not sure about the name spelling), I believe he has 477 wins before today. I want to say he's at St. Johns on the Division III level.
